Irish Mint Julep Cocktail Recipe

An Irishman and a Southern belle walk into a bar. Wish we had more to the joke, but all we've got is a delicious Irish twist on a Southern classic - whiskey replaces bourbon in this minty fresh Julep.

SERVES: 1

ingredients

• 4 mint leaves
• 1tsp sugar
• 2 tsp water
• Ice
• 1½ oz Irish whiskey
• ¼ oz Crème de Menthe


• Mint sprigs, for garnish

directions

1. In a tall glass, muddle the mint leaves with the sugar and water. Fill the glass with ice and pour whiskey and crème de menthe over the ice. Garnish with mint sprigs
